Platinum Roadmap

Platinum is a substantial but forgiving goal: finish the story, defeat every Resonant, and clear targeted side content. This control resonant trophy guide helps you avoid unnecessary grinding while keeping the one semi-missable trophy safe.

Expect roughly 30–40 hours with Assist Mode or 40–50 hours without it. Everything is offline, one playthrough is enough, and difficulty settings do not affect trophies.

Total trophies50 on PlayStation: 1 Platinum, 1 Gold, 16 Silver, and 32 Bronze

New Game+Available but unnecessary for Platinum

Start by playing the main story naturally. It unlocks Manhattan’s regions, combat tools, and traversal powers, so early collectible detours usually create more backtracking than they save. The three connected campaign priorities are progressing the crisis, following Jesse-related Fault Rituals for movement abilities, and defeating Resonants.

While traveling, open containers whenever you see them. They provide materials and upgrade pieces that reduce your cleanup later. Health upgrades come from clown-like boxes, while Power upgrades come from metal boxes.

Assist Mode is valid for every trophy. If combat is blocking progress, options such as immortality and one-hit kills can make boss encounters and combat challenges much easier. Automatic Rush is also worthwhile if you prefer tap-to-sprint traversal.

Story and Resonant Boss Trophies

Most hidden trophies arrive through campaign progress or boss completion. Downtown’s Resonant is mandatory, while several others can be postponed and defeated after the ending.

Your best route is to defeat the Resonants encountered along the main path, then return for the remaining optional bosses after the finale. The Mural in the Gap is your practical completion tracker: each defeated Resonant adds its drawing, and the finished Mural unlocks the Gold trophy.

Several story trophies should unlock without extra work:

  • Assigned to Accept unlocks when you obtain Aberrant at the beginning.
  • Parautilitarian follows your first Combat Ability.
  • Rescue Mission, Enemy of My Enemy, Sibling Reunion, The First Link, and Stop it at the Source come from their named main quests.
  • Repeating, Refracting unlocks for defeating the final boss.

Fault Rituals are especially important because they provide traversal abilities. When entering a new zone, look for Jesse’s illusion and follow it into the platforming sequence. Completing all of them is required for Sibling Reunion and keeps later navigation much smoother.

Upgrades, Combat, and Zone Progression

The Gap is your central build-management space. Use it often to change weapons and abilities, buy Talents, craft Artifacts, and purchase Aberrant upgrades. A group-focused primary option such as Glaive is useful for crowds, while a hard-hitting secondary form such as Crush helps against stronger enemies.

Combat ReadinessFill every Combat Ability slotContinue ability unlocks and equip them

Do not wait until the end to invest in your character. Buying a Talent earns Promising Recruit, crafting any Artifact earns Paranatural Apprentice, and purchasing an Aberrant upgrade earns Astral Construction. At Aberrant Strength 15, buy a Combo Finisher for Finalization Protocol.

Several combat trophies are simple once you know what to set up. Equip three Artifacts for Paranatural Craftsman, command a Breaker for Psychic Domination, and maintain Dominance for 60 seconds for Intense Precision. For Paranatural Agility, perform three Perfect Dodges within six seconds; practice against a predictable enemy rather than attempting it amid a crowded fight.

Zone levels rise through normal play: complete local quests, find collectibles, defeat enemies, and handle activities before moving on. Reach level 3 in one zone for Field Work, then bring every zone to level 5 for Field Control.

Side Activities and Cleanup Checklist

After the credits, free roam lets you finish nearly everything. Enemies become stronger in this state, so consider clearing difficult fights before the finale if you are not using Assist Mode.

For cleanup, work one region at a time. This keeps zone progress, collectibles, side quests, and travel objectives aligned. You do not need every document or audio recording in the Archive, so prioritize items tied directly to trophies.

The Sketchbook content is worth treating as a focused checklist. Each scene asks you to adjust nearby objects into a theme before Dylan can draw it. Watch for environmental prompts such as beach scenes, birds, cats, a music setup, a Halloween party, a dragon, a robot, a model house, an alien landscape, an art exhibit, or game night.

Also finish smaller one-off trophies during normal exploration:

  • Visit the Gap three times within five minutes for Love to Deep Dive.
  • Play any SHÜM! level for SHÜM!.
  • Equip an item in every outfit slot for Out of Uniform.
  • Complete a World Feat for Up to the Task.
  • Complete one FBC Task for FBC Recruit.
  • Obtain either a Health or Power Upgrade for Core Competency.

FAQ

Is anything missable in this control resonant trophy guide?

Only Be What You Want to Be is semi-missable. During the side quest The Party Won’t Stop in the West Incursion Zone, choose the correct karaoke responses to save everyone. The game preserves permanent saves after main quests, and profile saves can be duplicated from the title screen, so make a backup before this sequence.

Can I earn trophies with Assist Mode enabled?

Yes. Assist Mode does not disable trophies, including options for immortality and one-hit kills.

Do I need New Game+ for Platinum?

No. One playthrough plus post-story cleanup is sufficient.

Do I need every collectible?

No. You need trophy-linked collectibles and activities, but not every Archive document or audio recording.

What should I do last?

Before claiming completion, check the Mural in the Gap, finish every Resonant, complete outstanding side-activity chains, and confirm each zone has reached level 5.
